morning from a hotel
telling her to pay
the bill
She doesn’t question
what he says she just says I will
She doesn’t care why
he’s there denial is so intense
been told before
what she’s doing
doesn’t make much
sense
He’s out drinking
with his friends
it’s a casual
celebration
as time goes by she
wonders why
he missed her
graduation
She knows it’s no
use she’ll buy his excuse
whatever it happens
to be
She thinks he’s the
one and in the long run
he’ll be part of the
family
Who is this guy
anyway does he think he runs the world
Listen man to what I
have to say
she’s just an
innocent girl
She’s misdirected
and she doesn’t have a clue
she’s been neglected
and it’s all because of you
lies are reflected
upon every honest guy
She’s misdirected
and I know the reason why
He goes out every
night
and comes home with
a different lady
if she stopped by
with another guy
you know he’d
probably go crazy
Her friends always
listen to her constant frustration
He’ll get her
flowers and she’ll feel better
what a sad situation
Renown as a child
and as a clown
and somebody without
style
the ups and the
downs smiles and the frowns
maybe all worth
while
She’s probably too
scared
to tell him how she
really feels
He’ll always be the
same he won’t change
because nothing to
him seems real
Next time I see this
guy I know I won’t regret it
I’m going to tell
him how it is and I won’t let him forget it
