I got some pie but its not my flavor

She’s got time off for good behavior

And we’re going for a ride in my brand new car

Standing up on the bus again

And I’m waiting for my black girlfriend

She’s got a brother and he’s alright

He aint got no job but he works all night

And then he needs a ride home, he's always smoking my cigarettes

Then we got into an argument

I didn’t understand a single word she said

And so I walked out that door

She never heard me say goodbye

Now she’s living another life

She’s gone away where it snows sometimes

And I’m elated with my black girlfriend
